INTRO TO ROSEDALE MOTION LAB

OPENING QUESTION: Imagine you are watching cars (currently) at rest patiently waiting for their turn to go through the Rosedale/Skansi intersection. Please describe the motion of a vehicle from the moment they start through the intersection until the vehicle reaches a constant velocity.

Now let us say that one of GHPD's finest is pointing a radar speed detector at the vehicle. How will it determine the speed of that vehicle?

LEARNING TARGET: I will learn the basics of operating a radar gun during today's class,

Please join me in welcoming GHPD Detective Mike Allen to the warm, gracious and humble environs of our physics class!

This is the 3rd year Detective Mike has joined us for the exercise and it is always a class favorite (mine too!) He will give us the basics of how to correctly use an advanced "LIDAR" radar speed detector as well as the use of our more basic classroom Radar speed detectors.
